If you are one of the chosen few who sold something today, there is something new on the indiividual closed auction page: The transaction Log.
You can enter a message there that the buyer can see if he ever goes back to that page.
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why they put this in there. My first thought was that if your buyer has an invalid email address you can notify him here...he might be more likely to look here after not hearing from you than in his feedback which is where the seller would leave a message that his address didn't work.
But wouldn't it make more sense to simply check when a new user signed on that his email was indeed valid?
What other reasons could the Yahoobots have for the Transaction Log?

I noticed that same thing this morning! Now is it for only the buyer to see or is it for everyone to see? Where did you find info about the transaction box? I couldnt find anything on it!

I just read what it said in that page. I left a message which was limited to 50 characters....so don't try writing any any novels there.

I think this might be a good idea. Especially to leave a message regarding whether someone's email is getting through.
Thought about something else: what about leaving a message that you will be away at the time an auction ends, and approx. when you will be in touch? Sometimes quick trips are necessary and you find out you have auctions ending and won't be able to send out EOA's for a day or two (this is happening to me this weekend with a bunch of auctions at TOP...last minute trip this weekend...can't cancel auctions as they have bids).
Just a thought....
Wow...I am having trouble spelling tonight!!!
