I have tried to bid for the past week,in fact I have several I'D's
that are useless. I finally got signed onto the yahoo site and tried to make my bid and it comes up that my credit card is listed (with my other I'D') I always pay cash,so what does it matter about a credit card???? I won't be trying to bid on this auction site, its for the birds

Just a Blunt goodbye to you!!!!!!!!
Just by reading what you just posted, indicates to me that you are not a serious bidder. Serious bidders do not belong on auction sites, period.
No excuses for this and that, an auction is an auction and not some kind of catch me if you can game.

It's hard to buy much of anything online without a credit card. BUT there are lots of Yahoo sellers who post their email addresses in their auction ads, so you could always email a seller if you were interested in one of their items & ask if they would sell to you even if you didn't actually place a bid. I've done that for customers before. Many people just aren't comfortable placing their CC info online.

If your credit card is registered with your "other" ID then use your "other" ID.
I doubt if any sellers will miss you or your mulitple ID's.

anyold-- I agree wholeheartedly that the bidders are having a difficult time! That is why my auctions are in the cellar.....they probably can't even bid like you can't.
You didn't say anything out of line - but the Yahooers here prolly don't like the Ugh!
It would be a good idea to go to Suggestions Yahoo - and tell them you prefer to pay by money order. Did you register a CC?? If so, it shouldn't have rejected your bid...

It sounds like you are having a problem because although Yahoo allows multiple id's, you can only *bid* with one of them.

You have given a CC # to Yahoo, to verify you are who you are, so gee simple, use that ID name to bid on the item.
Yahoo isn't asking you to pay that way, they are just asking you to verify who you are...
Why do you want to bid under a bunch of ID names ?
And the customer I'm sure would love to be paid in cash...

Money orders and cash are fine with me. But the bidders who need multiple ID's usually need them because their old ID's have negative feedback for nonpayment.

Well Im a seller and I dont sell junk nor do I send junk .
I will and do Accept checks or money orders BUT no matter Who is paying who anyways !!!
Its ME its my risk I take Accepting checks as a seller. I take the chance of the bounced checks and fees and buyers who you never hear from again and never make good on them.
Im the one who loses to these people they are my sales and Auctions no matter who is paying who I am the one who decides what risk is resonable and what risks are not.
I am seeing a trend here in online auction sales heading the way of Credit cards E-Checks and online moneyorder payments only.
safe easy fast and garenteed.
Now if we could only figure out how to beam packages any one got any Ideas

I have multiple ids, and that's because I have multiple mailboxes to sort all my mail. I'm a power email user, and I need a lot more than the 6 MB they give. And to clarify, I have over 100 positive feedback ratings on Ebay. I'm sure there are plenty of other people around who have multiple ids for legit reasons, not just because they got neg feedback.

I too wonder why this person is so upset about the fact that he can only use his CC to register one ID. Why can't he use that one ID to bid?
Of course, there IS another explanation....
Can't spell....
