Everytime I relist an item, YAHOO automatically inserts the beginning price from the last auction under reserve.
I never use RESERVE, but everytime I relist, YAHOO gives me a RESERVE.
If I lower the beginning price and forget to erase the RESERVE (which I did not complete, but YAHOO inserted), then my auction fails because it does not meet the RESERVE.
I e-mailed YAHOO, but the response was computer generated apparently, and certainly about something other than my problem.

Still haven't figured out WHY they changed that in the first place. Surely no one REQUESTED IT, did they??? It's a pain having to remove it from the box every time I relist.

When you relist you DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE AUTOMATIC PRICE UNDER RESERVE so long as it is the same price as your opening bid it Will NOT show up as a reserve auction.
Just try leaving it there and then view
your auction. You will see, it will be fine.

I use the 1st Bid Wins format and also see the reserve price filled in on every relist.
I was removing it before confirming relist but decided to see what would happen if I left it in place and relisted.
Can not see anything on the auction pages suggesting a reserve so, in my case with 1st Bid Wins listings, the inclusion seems not to have any effect.
Someone might try it with a regular auction format and let us know what happens. I expect that unless the amount is above the opening bid no "reserve auction" statement is inserted into the listing.
Considering the glitches I'm encountering on that "other" venue I'm willing to accept it as a reminder of how well so much of the YAHOO system works and be thankful the 'problems" are so few, minor and far between.
