How do you keep your auctions attractive? I really like AW's feature of incoporating a template but Yahoo doesn't accept them.

Oh, BTW, I'm going to give Yahoo a whirl. I have also been "Ebaying" it up till now and testing a few auction sites.

Any Yahoo tips you can pass along, I'm listening!

Thanks!

Now that Yahoo allows up to 10 images in the HTML (as well as 3 uploaded pics) it would now be possible to create some very nice templates for Yahoo. Unfortunately, I don't know where any might be available.

I use VERY attractive templates for my Yahoo auctions! I launch from www.woof!woof!.com

I asked AW 4 mos ago about templates for Yahoo -- they said someday...

If you'd like to see what my auctions look like, email me at:

[email protected]

and I'll send you my Yahoo name!

Tomwiii,

lol, yes I'm gonna email you. Woof!woof! for reals??

Yes, having a template would make life easier. Another thing I am having a difficulty is, I would really like to tract my Yahoo & Ebay auctions separately. Not together like it is. But that's more of a suggestion to Auctionwatch!

Thanks a bunch.

Uh-oh, it's not working. Are ya pulling my leg?

amalgamated2000,

Thanks for the response. Wow, sounds like a lot can be done over there on Yahoo. I can't wait to make my site look better.

Ok above and beyond the templets.

If you go to yahoo auction on the top of the page is a button for Options Yahoo allows you to make and Design a personel Auction booth this will have a different URL from you regular auction booth you can add this URL of you personnel booth that has all the same Items to your Buyers.

Personel auction booths are selfe made you can change all colors to suit you. you can also register this booth with Search engines if you care to go so far as to advertize this URL in all the free classifides on line or in local news papers. even make a advertizeing banner with the link for free and pay banner exchange programs.

The most effective method of advertize though is by far in your email signature files every time your email is forworded from place to place your Signature URL will be there spreading the word. this is great if you are part of a chat group with hunders of users like joke or humor chat lists these emails get forworded to many thousands of users and not concidered spam it a signature file

I copy and paste all my auctions from Auction Assistant, always have. I also use Go-To, and paste them in there and all other auctions with the exception of Amazon which only accepts such short descriptions that they have to be altered to use on Amazon - BUT since we no longer sell on Amazon, it doesn't matter.

We handle many redundant items so only have to create an auction once and use it over and over with the resubmit.

I love Yahoo - Auction Assistant - Auction Tamer and Go-To.

Just me, but I really don't like tons of hoopla on an item when I go to view it , just let me see the item and give me a description and a shipping cost...And do it fast...
BUT I do use Geocities to set up a web page and used their templates to modify the way my auction page looks. Then of course it's in my favorites and in my signatures on e mails and this is what I send to people, makes it nice cause it links to all things.
And always always give my e mail address in auctions...
Templates or fancy dancy are only nice for the people who have DSL, lucky dogs.
I want DSL so bad......

These are great suggestions. I've tried to capture backgrounds and attempt HTML (hahaha) and it's turning out to be a disaster. I have no concept of color and fonts.

I don't understand WHY for the Yahoo cannot accept AW templates. I have become very fond of them and really believe they help make my auction look attractive & very tasteful.

I will look up the other auction assistant sites to see if they can help. Thank you for your feedbacks!

I was using Andale for awhile. If you can get past the garish colors they like to give you for the templates what you can do is open an andale account and list one auction. When it closes you can go to "resubmit" in Yahoo Auctions and swipe the html out of it. Replace the descriptions with the next product and you are in business. It is a little tedious, but it's just an idea.
