A buyer just used Yahoo's PayDirect to pay for item but for some reason I keep getting an error that my password is invalid. It is the correct password! I've checked and double checked and I've never had problems with my password in the past, only now. What can possibly be the problem?

I'm starting to wonder if a hacker figured out my password and changed it. Is that possible?

Nothing wrong. I've had 2 payments today and both times, I couldn't get in to accept them. I tried again about 10 minutes later and got in.

PayDirect seems to be having the hiccups.

Also, don't forget, the password to your PayDirect account is different than the password to your Yahoo account.

Hello!
Are you sure they are not asking for your "SECURITY KEY"?

It is different they Your YAHOO ID!

Today someone sent me a paydirect payment and when I tried to accept I got an error5 message #181 which was vague but told me to contact "customer service."

Wow, thought I, that's a new concept, where is Yahoo customer service? I looked all over that page for a link to no avail and explored several links on the page but still no luck. Eventually i filled out a feedback form and copied the exact error message and explained the problem. I had even had the payer cancel and resend the payment but still got the same error.

Now I have done about 50 Pay Direct exchanges successfully in the past month without an error and i reported this in the feedback email.

Question: Does any humans work on Sunday at yahoo? I doubt it so I guess it was a computer which scanned my email and decided to send me this worthless dribble:

"Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Customer Care.

When someone sends you money, you will receive an email that contains =
a
link to a web page from which you can easily deposit money into your
Yahoo! PayDirect account (or create a new account if you don't have =
one
already).

Once the funds are in your PayDirect account, you can withdraw the =
funds
onto your credit card or check card account, have funds sent directly =
to
a bank account using the ACH(Automated Clearing House)Form, or send =
the
funds to someone else.

Regards,

Yahoo! GeoCities Support

==================================

So I guess nothing has changed. The yahoobots are still in control. but that's not the bad news. the bad news is Advertisers are realizing that nobody is reading the banner ads, and thus Yahoo's business model isn't working. they are not going to make their earnings estimates in the next quarter. What does this mean?

Well, one might think they would start charging fees. But think about this. With customer support that is non-existant, where would you go if you had to pay, ePay or Yahoo?. The choice is clear to me. But i don't give a poop. It's their problem, not mine
