This is WEIRD! I was doin a Feature item. When I go to access my Yahoo Wallet balance--msg comes up :
You are being redirected from a Secure to an Insecure access blah blah.....Well, this is EXACTLY what it said months ago on Paypal when accessing my acct. They found that some jerk had hacked the PP site and tried to lure people to re-direct the funds to his site.

Now, I cannot feature, so I sent a BUG report to Yahoo but from what I read on another post here- it takes a person to person phone call?? Anyone else having this problem?
==================================
As suggested on these threads, that we ALL write to Yahoo-- I also sent a letter to Yahoo Suggestions (under HELP( My Suggestion was to LISTEN to our Suggestions)

We each need to ask 3/4 sellers to BARRAGE Yahoo with suggetions for the following"

1--Stop manipulating order of listings and change back to a legitimate listing order
2--Give us an announcement board,
3--AND to please, instead of this rinky dink feature game just CHARGE US a Final Value Fee if sold.
4--We can afford a Final Value Fee (maybe 1.5
% across the board on ALL items ) ONLY if they keep listings FREE.

We can only hope they will listen or lose us all to ebay.~

No Thanks, I like the Featured Auction
What is really needed is subcategories.

Asking them to start charging us fees is a foolhardy move. All they will do is start charging fees, and nothing else will change.

I refuse to unilaterally speak for my fellow sellers in a matter as important as fees, and I think that it is out of line for you to do that to the rest of us that don't want the fees.

All we want is for them to fix the listing order!

I agree with certain points in each of the above posts.

I'd like to fix the listing order. And I'd definitely like more subcategories and an announcement board.

I've already contacted them about your points 1 and 2. I don't support 3 and 4 at all. They're in no danger of losing me to e-bay.

Depending on your browser's security settings, anytime you are on a secure site, you will get a warning when you go to a non-secure site. This has absolutely nothing to do with any kind of security breach. It's simply a reminder to let you know that from that point on, the information you send is not secure.

Also, I totally disagree on replacing featuring with FVF. The current system rewards success by giving a rebate for successful sales. FVF's penalize success.

Moreover, I think the featuring system is fantastic. Granted, at the moment it is somewhat skewed because of the free credits, but that won't last long after the holidays, I suspect.

I can't imagine what could be wrong with allowing people to pay what they think a listing is worth. If you want a free listing, fine -- you pretty much get what you pay for. If you can run your business more efficiently than a competitor and thus can afford to spend more on featuring your items, more power to ya. It's called capitalism, and I love it.

While I'm at it, I think that something that Yahoo really needs to change is allowing NW's to keep you from resubmitting. This is a major pain for me, and it makes absolutely no sense.

Of course, I've written Yahoo about this a couple of times, and I always get back nice emails explaining the NW system or whatever other key words they happen to pick up.

And that's another thing. How about hiring a couple of people to replace the bots and actually respond to emails???

almagamated.....what is NW (no winner?)

Thanks for your explanation re the "security" problem I'm having - However, I do know about the protocols of leaving for an insecure site. Turns out I got email from Yahoo and there IS a problem. IOW, if I had continued into the Wallet site I would have jeapordized my acct. Yahoo wants me to CALL them to walk through the solution.

Also-- wierd thing (headsup!) I decided to experiment and did NOT put in a password where it said entering a "redirected secure site " and VOILA!! I was right into my acct balance. Now, THAT is scary!! I logged off right away!!! I will call them by 6pm PST and get back here soon as I can or early morning.

ioughta,

When you call Yahoo, PLEASE don't tell them that everyone wants them to charge final value fees. I think you stand alone on that point, and the rest of us don't appreciate your pushing the idea on Yahoo on our behalf.

Have you, by any chance, been down in Florida counting hanging dimples and pregnant chads?????????????????????

Or was that pregnant dimples and hanging chads???
