When I try to upload an image in PageBuilder for my Yahoo Booth, instead of getting the box showing all my computer contents (from which I choose the file I want to upload), I get a blank box titled "about:blank-Microsoft Internet Explorer".
Is anyone else having this problem, and is there a way to work around it? I wrote Yahoo about the glitch, but I'm sure it won't be looked at for days, since it's now the weekend.
I also had a buyer try REPEATEDLY to pay me through PayDirect, to no avail. She couldn't even get it to go through when I sent her a PayDirect request for payment, and she ended up paying BidPay $5 to send me a money order (she's short on time, since it's to be a Christmas present).

I'm still getting the "about:blank-Microsoft Internet Explorer" box when I try to upload an image, and the box does absolutely NOTHING, nor does anything ever appear in it.
I haven't had a PayDirect payment since my customer tried unsuccessfully to pay me, so I can't tell if it's a problem for ALL my customers. BAH-HUMBUG!!!

I really like Yahoo's "booth"...
Like you, I had a problem getting off the ground, but once I got it going, it was slick as whistle and a lot of fun to use - a variety of different pictures (or upload your own), graphic buttons & bars that you can make different sizes, text options, etc!
My problem originally was that I use AOL and AOL is not friendly to YAHOO's Booth. You must go into AOL (preferences) and unclick on the option for compressed graphics.
Then I had to start and use NETSCAPE to actually upload page layout. AOL would never let me use pagelayout even tho I unclicked compressed graphics.
I have found that I can use RoadRunner's Internet Explorer (not thru AOL tho) or NETSCAPE to get to PageLayout. You know you are on the way when the small blank page layout builds a house with smoke coming from chimney while it loads. Once it loads, you can create your own booth.
There are lots and lots of options in this neat program, but if you have used different computer software you will have no problem - and if you are new to computers, it will only take a few minutes longer to get going. Lots of training wheels on this program - yet it turns out a professional & great product in a fairly short time.
I find myself buying and looking for clip-art for my booth to spruce it up. I change it about every 3 weeks.
Why have a booth you ask? This YAHOO Booth is special because it shows just YOUR own items - and there is no way for the customer to escape to someone else's booth - the customers who come inside your booth or shop are yours!!
Ebay and other Auction Places are always working to lure your folks away - YAHOO holds them captive for you.
You will need to make links elsewhere to drive them to your booth. Better than a webpage!

Ok for starters, what are you trying to upload the image FROM? harddrive, floppy disk or from your image hosting site?
as for the paydirect situation, the buyer should double-check if she signed up paydirect properly.

I load my new images to pagebuilder from a floppy disk or hard drive.
I had a problem once in that I filled up my allotment of pictures - I upload a lot of pictures - I was putting a sample of my items available for auction on the top of my booth as a teaser, and ran out of space.
YAHOO responded and directed me to a place where you can upload pictures and use them in Page-Layout - http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/(yourYAHOOIDnamehere-no())?d&.flabel=fld1&.intl=us&.src=ph&start=1
You can upload pictures here & use them in Pagelayout.

Thanks - I enjoy changing it - there are so many options in Pagelayout that I find it hard to make decisions on what I want my booth to look like - I help a friend of mine so I can make more...I also have a cat booth...
This is my cat booth:

I made this one for my friend:

Lots of fun!! You can also design your Item Pages thru pagelayout too! They can be different if you like!

watafind-- Wow! You are really getting into this! LOL!! That kitty one is almost too busy but stops just in time. LOL!! It's darling. And the antiquey one is great too!
Do ya have to have different ID's, one for each of these?
Great looking booths. You're very creative. The best thing is the colors are pleasent to look at. Most sites blind you with bright colors, and to many things moving. Yours are very tasteful. Great work!

toomanycomics,
I'm trying to upload a photo from my hard drive, though I'm unable to link to a web page for an image as well. I've never had any problem with uploading before, and the software doesn't indicate that I've reached a "limit" of any kind.
I tried uploading images into my sister's geocities homepage, and was unable to do so until a few minutes ago tonight. The problem THERE is now fixed (I haven't tried my own geocities homepage yet), but I still get the same blank box in my auction booth PageBuilder.
I did receive a PayDirect payment from another bidder today, so I don't know if the problem there was with the buyer or with PayDirect. She gave up and used BidPay instead.

I tried repeatedly to load .jpg files from my HDD to my booth and was never successful. (I got the lovely "blank window" also.) Quite frankly, I found Page Builder to be incredibly slow and frustrating, since I usually build my own web pages using HTML code. Any suggestions?

Once you get past the blank window, the software needed to layout your booth design is very fast (no delays at all) and easy to use with lots of options.
Do you have AOL? That is always a problem with Pagelayout software. If you have AOL, you need to go inside preferences and click on "do not compress images".
Then you need to use a different Internet Explorer (downloaded separately - maybe with Roadrunner or just by itself-but not thru AOL) or Netscape to build your booth & item design page.
I don't think you can design your YAHOO booth & individual item pages without using the Pagelayout software provided by YAHOO. If this is incorrect, please let me know.
