I've been customizing the Gallery to match the 3 templates I use, then adding the code myself.
This latest mess with eBay has made me rethink how much time I've been spending making things "perfect"!
The easiest thing to do would be to compromise with one customized Gallery to match our Store colors that show at the top of all three types of listings. If I do that, could I click on automatically add to top, then go back and add to bottom automatically?
I realize that would mean editing out the ones I already have in the listings, but I'm working on cleaning up my code and taking out all the <*p>, etc. That means I'm redoing each listing, anyway.
I sure don't want eBay to play with the CSS and catch me unprepared again!

You can only set your preferences for one or the other (top or bottom). If you want to set your account to "top" and then copy/paste the code into the bottom of your listings, this would achieve the results you want. However, this would be time consuming.
You could try using putting the HTML code for the Gallery into your custom listing text to achieve an automatic insert at the bottom of your listings.

I set the preference to automatically add the Gallery, with my custom colors, at the top yesterday evening. Nothing is showing up on any listings.
Please help ASAP.

I emailed customer support about this, and the fact that I could not log in using FireFox. I'm using IE right now, with no problem logging in, so it's a FireFox problem.

Still no Gallery, so I renewed my token with eBay, just in case that was the problem. I also did all the transaction on IE, since FireFox is having cookie problems.
I'll wait 2 hours and see what happens.

No need to wait, it appears as though the gallery has already been added to your most recently listed items and has tracked your other auction images as well.

The only Gallery I see is the one I have coded into the bottom. What I'm waiting for is the automatically added TOP Gallery to show up.
I'm going to empty all my cache, etc., shutdown, reboot, and see if that's the problem.
In the mean time, if anyone is following this thread besides the Customer Service folk, I'd appreciate you taking a look at a listing and report what you see.

That is a Gallery that I coded into the last few listings I've put on.
I'm waiting for the gallery done in browns that matches the Store colors. This particular gallery is at the bottom of the vintage items now.
Once the brown one is in place across ALL the listings, I planned to take out the top "toy colored" gallery in the code for the ones that have it.
I plan to leave the 3 different galleries coded to match the listings at the bottom. I have them coded in the listing, itself.

Unlike the one Chris showed the image of, I have not MANUALLY added a Gallery to the top of the Trails End tin listing. Most of our listings also do not have a manually coded top gallery.
What I want is to have the same Vendio Gallery that is at the BOTTOM of #4310101954 added AUTOMATICALLY to the TOP of ALL our listings. When that is accomplished, I will delete the code from those listings that have a gallery I inserted manually in the top. ALL our listings have a bottom Vendio Gallery manually hard coded in, which we intend to keep.
I really don't understand why this is turning out to be so difficult. I thought when I set it in preferences, it would take care of itself within a couple of hours.
I apologize if the delay is due to my not making my needs clear. Hopefully, this post will make better sense to you.

Unfortunately I have not heard back yet on whether or not we can fix this for your current active listings. Your new ones should contain the gallery as you specified -- if you've launched anything since and its not appearing the way it should, let us know those ID numbers so we can check.
By now there should be the manually inserted Gallery at the bottom in greens and browns, and the automatically inserted one at the top in shades of brown.

Thanks, Sonya, for the update, even if it is to say you're still working on it. Silence, to me, is horrible from anyone's Customer Service. I'd lot rather be told that it's still in process, than to hear no response at all.

Thank you for your patience -- I have heard back regarding this issue. The reason the auto-gallery wasn't being added was because our system had already detected that a gallery is in your listing. If you want two galleries to appear in your listings, you will need to put in the code for both galleries manually. We apologize for the inconvenience.
