Hi,

I recently purchased my own "auction set" from another source which includes the background, graphics, etc. All the coding I need will be included in the HTML in the description area. I have to have a completely blank template. I can't find one that is fully customizable to NOT INCLUDE the payment, shipping, etc. information as I will be including that in my description section instead.

Which template should I use to achieve basically a blank template? I tried to delete things off a template without an * but they are also not completely customizable. Thanks

Hello,

The Blank template will do this for you, but there are a few things you will need to disable in your preferences to get rid of the payment and shipping information.

From your Global Preferences page, uncheck both the boxes to insert a list of payment types - and to list your shipping options.

Regards,
Christopher

I did what I think you are trying to do successfully for quite awhile. To get a totally blank slate you need to not only choose the blank template but avoid all the image layout choices except imbedded layout, avoid the image attachment features of the listing system, and disable every one of your Vendio defaults. The great news is that you can have it look any way you want, put your images anywhere you want, and control all your own html.

The other news is that you lose most of the design automation the program offers beyond the copy auction function. Every non-identical aspect of each item has to be edited one by one within the total html block including adding/editing the image code for each image. If there are problems after launch you will have to wade through all the ebay code, the Vendio code, and your template code to find the error and fix the html yourself on ebay. It's alot more work, but it works great, especially if you have a good html editor program to use.

What doesn't work is to try to use your own html template in the background for only the design part and try to attach images to it with the Vendio image attachment function. The only way Vendio supports totally custom templates is if you run the whole show including image placement for each item yourself. To use their layouts and automation you have to find a way to customize one of their templates. Hope that helps and saves you some time setting things up.
