Greetings,

In coming from mpire, we were able to set a template with pre-configured items such as an html table in the description, which was ready for us to type. Is this possible with Vendio? When I apply my template, the description text field is empty. Is there something else I can "apply" to populate my description?

I'm not sure if I explained myself and I do understand about the custom listing template. I guess what I should have asked is why can't I put anything in the description to be part of the template? In particular, why can't I have a simple html table in my description that will show up each time my Vendio description is selected?

Any others coming from mpire get my drift? Can you explain it better, or can you answer my question?

Thanks,

Brent

Hello again Brent,

There are plenty of customers who are using tables and whatnot inside their template workshop. If you can perhaps provide us (just reply to my email) the HTML you are trying to place in your your template area that is being rejected I'll be happy to see why it's not working.

Matthew, it's not a secret, but a process. At this time there is no automatic way to import custom HTML, however, if you have a custom template, there are two approaches that can be used:

1. You can use our "Blank" template, and paste your HTML into the description field. Note that attaching images using our system will place the images below the template, and any default listing text fields will also appear below the template. We suggest that if you use this method, you insert any default listing text and images into the HTML so that it will appear within the template.

2. We can import the HTML for you into our system. This will allow you to apply the template to your listings automatically and will also allow you to use the automatic "attach images" feature. If you would like to do this, please note the following:

- You must submit the HTML in its *completed* format.

- Dynamic fields and macros are not possible now. Also, custom listing text will not appear in an imported template, so you will need to supply text that does not need to be changed. All fields in your imported template will be static with the exception of the description and images.

- Once imported, any revisions to the template (that are not caused by our system) will incur a charge of $25.00.

- Generally, these requests are completed within 7 business days, however, since we cannot predict availability of engineering resources, we cannot provide a definite timeframe for completion.

Please let us know if you would like us to import a template for you, and as soon as we receive your HTML we will log the project.

Regards,

Ed
