Good morning. My computer was just re-built, I now have Windows Vista. This means I need to download Sales Manager to my desktop so I can work offline.
Which is the best way, and where do I find, the 'downloadable' program, and do I need to re-enter all of my personal information when I do download?
I had Sales Manager Pro, I am now changing to Inventory edition.
Again, my main question is - How do I get the new program to my desk top?
Sales Manager Pro is the only offline software that can currently be used with your account. If you switched to Sales Manager Inventory Edition, then you would still use Sales Manager Pro as the offline software. Inventory Edition is the new version of your online account.

While some of our customers have been able to use Sales Manager Pro with their Vista machine, others have not been successful. We recommend using the following installation procedure for Sales Manager Pro on a Vista machine:
1. Be sure that you have installed Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows Vista.
2. When you download Sales Manager Pro, be sure to save the installation kit to your hard disk. Do not choose the "run from current location" option during download.
3. Before you install the software, create a new folder on your C:\Users\Yourusername directory (you can name the folder whatever you like.)
4. Run the installer for the Sales Manager Pro software. When you are asked where you want to install the software, click browse and install it into the newly created folder in your Users directory.
5. When you are finished with the installation, uncheck both the "view read me" and "launch the program" boxes.
6. Restart the computer.
7. Right click the SM Pro desktop icon, and check the "run this application as an administrator" box.
8. Launch the software.
9. You will be asked if you want to download your images and preferences. Do not download images and preferences.
10. When the program has finished loading, click the Preferences button along the left side of the page. Check the box at the very bottom of this window that says 'Do not download standard images from Vendio image hosting'** and save the change.
**We do not recommend downloading images from online into Sales Manager Pro unless you need the images to attach to future listings. You can import images into Sales Manager Pro from your hard drive or camera to use with new listings, and these images will be uploaded as you upload your listings.
