One of my customers had difficulty at checkout. It appear that the designation between USPS International Shipping 1st Class, and USPS International Shipping Canada 1st Class is unclear. Both shipping choices appear as USPS International 1st Class.
Since she resides in Canada, she chose UPS Canada, because it was stated as Canada. Can this please be fixed?
All shipping options available 'to' the buyer in question based on their location will show up as being available to be selected.
I believe the confusion this particular user may have ran into is choosing between the USPS International option and the UPS Canada option, which UPS defines as being specific to Canada while the USPS carrier name isn't labeled by USPS as being Canada specific (as it isn't.)
Unfortunately there isn't anything to fix per say, as its simply a matter of how UPS happens to have labeled that particular service. We will however pass along this concern to see if there is a way to better clarify this situation if it becomes problematic.
Regards,
Chris

At checkout, the buyer is presented with two choices: USPS International 1st Class, and USPS International 1st Class. There is no distinction between the first one, which is the Global rate, and the second one, which is the Canada rate.
I just completed a checkout for two items and had the opportunity to make the blind choice. Fortunately, I knew the second choice was for Canada. Not many buyers would know which one to choose. This is the problem.
Ok, I see what you mean. You had mentioned 'UPS Canada' in your original post so I thought that was part of the confusion.
It is true that Canadian buyers will see rates both specific to their area and for worldwide carriers - even when the carrier itself is the same. The only difference would be in the cost.

There is still confusion at checkout when a customer wants to ship USPS International 1st Class to Canada. The selection for that method is not clear as to choice.
Both USPS 1st Class International and USPS 1st Class International Canada are labeled the same. A customer has no way to distinguish between them when making the choice.
Once again, a customer from Canada has chosen UPS Canada, as a shipping method, because there was no other choice labeled as Canada.
Could this be corrected? The USPS 1st Class International should be labeled correctly.
We will be happy to pass along the suggestion on your behalf. Unfortunately UPS has actually labeled the name of their carrier with the word 'Canada' in the title, where any other carrier will be just the name of those carriers as well.
Either the UPS carrier will have to be renamed, which we cannot do, or something will need to be programmed to indicate that the list of available shipping carriers is a list of all available to that buyer, regardless of the use of UPS standard to Canada as one of those listed.
