I have had and use Sales Manager Inventory Edition on my desk top computer for years but now I have a lap top and would like to also download same program on this lap top so I can also create my listings on it if i choose.
However I can't seem to be able to do this. When I click onto Sales Manager Inventory Edition on left side of this page it just goes right to my list of auctions on ebay.
Is there a way to have same program on both computers?

Hello Gina,
You should be able to access your inventory page from any computer as long as you have access to a browser. It looks like your running FireFox on this machine, which should work great.

Hi Chris,
Thanks, oh yeah you are right! Another question, can I download Sales Manager Pro to this lap top so I can use that edition instead? I think I'm going to switch to that since that is what I used for years until I took off for more than a year.

Hello Gina,
We are working on a permanent solution for customers who are having trouble using Sales Manager Pro with Windows Vista. In the meantime, to work around the problem, please make sure that you try the following:
1. Be sure to use a Vista Administrator account to install the program. Do not choose to "run" the application during download (uncheck both checkboxes in the last screen during installation.)
2. Be sure that you are installing the latest version of Sales Manager Pro, available for download on our website (from the link that I provided you earlier).
3. Set the program to run with administrator rights (to do this, right click on the desktop icon that you would use to launch the program, and select "run as Administrator" ).
4. Set Sales Manager Pro to run in Windows 98 mode. To do this, right-click on the icon for Sales Manager Pro and select "Properties" -> select the "Compatibility" tab -> click the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for" -> select "Windows 98" from the drop-down box and apply the changes.
If you have tried all of these suggestions and still can't get the program to work with Windows Vista, please let us know and we'll do our best to assist you further.

Well I guess it isn't working after all. I opened SMP on laptop but when I click onto sales manager I get an error that says my firefox has crashed.
No firefox is still working for other sites.
Now one thing else... last night when I downloaded SMP and tried to follow the directions you gave me here on this page where you said not to "run" and to uncheck the 2 boxes, well there were no boxes to uncheck, just said "run" so I did do that but I did check run as administrator etc.

Hello Gina,
Any problems that you are having with the Sales Manager Pro software should be separate from any problems you are having with Firefox. Where exactly are you clicking when your Firefox crashes? Also, if you haven't already please install all available Firefox updates (they recently released an update for the browser), and let us know if that helps.

I also get the crash error when I click onto "image hosting" besides "sales manager" however when I click on synchronize it does synchronize with no crash error

Hello Gina,
I see. Those links in the left-hand menu of Sales Manager Pro simply go to your online Vendio account. Please see if your Firefox still crashes if you go to the locations directly. For Sales Manager, you would use this:

Hello Gina,
Are you having any other problems with Sales Manager Pro, such as problems when creating listings with the software? Also, have you already entered your Vendio username and password into the Sales Manager Pro software?

Hi Nathan,
Yes I did put in my vendio username and password.
No, I haven't tried to list an auction from it yet. I guess that would be a good idea!
I'll do just that but won't be until tomorrow or Monday. I'll post an update here after I do.
