OK - I am upset. I am adding new items. I start from the back, if you will. So, I enter the site specifics, before the description and template. Well, on the site specifics, I changed the template to "green" the go to description and template and also put the "green". But when it launches - it launches a different template. Now I have about 10 of these that it happened to.
I am assuming that what is happening is that because I am entering the site specifics first - it then is reverting back to what the default is showing on the description and template - because I haven't yet changed it to the "green".
Why is the world do we have to put in TWICE the auction template - and why is it changing it when launched.
In fact, I always preview my listings before launching them - and they are showing the correct template upon preview - but not upon launch. And when I go in and look at what the templates are set as - the description and template is at green - and the site description has reverted back to the default.
I am very upset - I am launching 120 day store items - and some 7 day fixed price. Now they look like garbage on ebay - as the colors don't match at all. Who is going to pay for my fees to fix this?
It is possible that the problem stems from you working from back to front as you put it.
However in order to to troubleshoot your problem more fully I would like to know which specific items to look at. I will also need to refer to someone who is not here at the moment to confirm the exact behavior.
I will contact you tomorrow to get more information from you.

Hi Lana,
The Description&Template tab is prefilled with your eBay preferences (template "j" in your case). The actual template used for the listing is the one selected in Site Specifics tab. If you create an item by editing right-to-left, you will notice in the specifics tab the default template is selected, and the name of the template ends with an * (you should see "j*". The star at the end denotes that the field is the default one (from your preferences). If you change it to something else ("green" in your case), you will notice that the star at the end of the name disappears (not using the default value).
Conclusion: you only have to select the desired template once (if different from the default one).
Regarding the template change upon launch, please give us an example listing.
