I just added a link in the description of all the items in one of my categories. Then realized I had a problem. The link takes the customer to a page in my eBay store, which is fine for the eBay listing. But I don't want that link to show up in my Vendio store.
I know I can put it in custom text, but I don't want it to show up on the items in other categories. I was planning on putting another link in them.
I also don't want to create another inventory item. I have too many items to be doubling them. I would never be able to keep up with what I'm doing.
Is there any way to add a description section under site specifics like there is for the title? That way we can add or take off a section that we don't want to show anywhere else.
Thanks
Debbie

Hi Sonja
No, this is a link in the item description on the awareness ribbon pins. It goes to a page in my eBay store. I don't want that link to show in my Vendio Store.
If I put it in the Default text it will show in all my auctions. I only want it to show on the pins.

I'm glad you asked. I see I left out a word on the link. Here is an auction number: 6155156353

Hello,
Thanks for the item number, I now see the link. I'm a little unsure as to what the problem is -- you want the link in there but you don't want it showing in your Vendio Store. Where is it showing? If you mean you don't want the auction to appear in your Vendio store, unfortunately there is no way to stop that from happening as the store imports all eBay listings automatically.

The way I have it set up now, the link is in the item description. It shows in my eBay auction. However, this item also shows in my Vendio store. Because I put the link in the item description it shows up on those items in the store. I don't want it to be there and send customers from my Vendio store to my eBay store.
The only way to eliminate this, is to set up two inventory items of the same item and mark one to not display in my Vendio store. But I have so many items I don't want to do this. I wouldn't be able to keep up with my inventory.
I could put the link in my default text, but the link takes my customers to a page referring to my pins. I don't want it to be on all my auctions, just the pins. Until I realized the problem I was planning to put a similar link in my dog auctions taking the dog customers to a page where they could search for their breed.
To sum it all up, I would like to be able to have a site specific description box where I can add to or take off or completely change the description. That way I can have one inventory item with different descriptions on Vendio, eBay, Yahoo and whatever else.
