Hi, I'm sure it's just me, and I've asked this before (in January when I had a bunch of auctions).
1. The PayPal logo comes up in my auction listings (in the Vendio-generated description), but NOT as a payment option in the auction itself. To buyers, it appears that I do not accept PayPal becuase it does not come up as a payment option and is not included in eBay's listing of auctions that accept PayPal. I've had to manually go into each and every auction and "revise" it so I can check off the PayPal option, enter my email address, preview, and finally save the changes.
2. I also have to manually revise each auction to change the insurance option from "not offered" to "included with S&H." There must be a better way of doing this.
3. Despite the fact that I've checked my shipping profiles, I must still be missing something becuase WBN are not being sent out. I've resorted to manually sending an invoice for each auction. I suppose the auctions I have currently running cannot be changed and I'll have to manually send invoices for all them as well.
If someone could let me know what I need to do, I'd really appreciate it.
All of these issues are related to your preferences. I'll go down them one by one:
1. To activate the Paypal logo on eBay, go to My Account -> Global Preferences, and check the "Include the PayPal Checkout button and logo in my listing" option under Paypal. This will display a logo in your listing and on eBay.
2. Your preferences are set up correctly to display "included in shipping and handling" - and I'm not able to find an example of a listing that incorrectly reflects this. I took a look at your older closed listings, and in this item:
The "included in shipping and handling" option is displayed but the listing has not been revised. If this is only happening occasionally for items you are relisting, it is possible that the original item was saved before you changed your preferences. If you do come up with an example of a new listing that incorrectly states "not offered", please let us know before you revise it.
3. You are using checkout redirect, which means there will be a 30 minute delay before WBNs will be sent. This will allow your buyer time to go through checkout and if he completes it within 30 minutes the WBN will not be sent for that listing. If you notice a significant delay (beyond 30 minutes) in WBNs being sent, please let us know.
1. Checked off the option you suggested for the PayPal logo. This should be ok now.
2. Also, I can't see why the insurance is defaulting to "no offered" unless I need to check off "I will insure"...
3. About the WBN, maybe I've chosen the wrong option. I think there have been cases where the bidder did not use checkout within 30 minutes of the enf auction and there was still no WBN sent (becuase I believe I'm supposed to be copied on them). However, it's tough to say, becuase lately everyone's been checking out or paying within less than 30 mins...
Ok, I've just launched two new auctions, and two have closed with the Buy It Now this evening. Here's the scoop:
1. Of the two auctions that closed with Buy It Now, one person paid by PayPal on his own. The other did not receive a WBN and it's been more than 30 minutes since the auction closed. (I believe I'm supposed to be copied on WBNs and none has been emailed to me). EDIT: My mistake, it seems the option to "copy me" was not checked, but it is now, so I'll monitor this for next time.
BUT... as for the checkout redirect, I don't know if that will have any effect on my auctions, as everything I list currently is in eBay Motors, which I don't think is supported by Vendio checkout...
2. The PayPal option is working now, thanks! But, I still have to go in an manually revise the listing to change it from insurance "not offered" to "included with S&H." I can't figure out why, it appears I've set my preferences correctly...
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter
