I must be missing something when it comes to setting up calculated shipping for an inventory item. I have an item that is 10 pounds and oversize. I specified the weight, the dimensions, and the fact that it is oversized in Vendio. I listed the item, and tested the calculated shipping rate. To my horror, the rate shown is way, way, lower than it should be ... like, it displays about $7 when it should be $24 for the zip code I was using.
Is this feature working or not working and if it is working, what could I be doing incorrectly?
I closed the listing on ebay until I get this figured out.

Update - I upped the shipping weight from 10 pounds to 30 and the calculated shipping rates seem to be ok now. Should I have had to do that? Seems like if I indicated the item is oversized, it should have done that automatically.
Anyway, I'm also *assuming* that the shipping rate that will appear during checkout for a customer is the same that will display from the listing using the calculator. Is that a correct assumption?
Anything else I should know about calculated shipping? Any weirdnesses or caveats?

Hi! Sometimes it helps to post a question to the moderator on duty at the time. E.g., "Moderator: Question about calculated shipping." That catches their eye quickly and they're very good about responding.
