How do you manage an individual group of inventory items across multiple listings and formats?
For example, I have 20 widgets. I want to list 10 of them in a fixed price listing. I also want to list 5 of them in 5 separate auction listings of 1 item each, allowing them to auto relist until inventory reaches 0. How do I accomplish this, having all of the listings pulling from the same pool of inventory and keeping from overselling my inventory?
In order to do this, please create multiple eBay ads for the inventory item. This can be done by first editing the inventory item. Then go to the "eBay Info" section. At the top of the page click the green plus button next to "Select Ad". This will allow you to create a separate eBay ad for the same inventory item with different settings. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

I tried that but it's not working. When I create the secondary ad and save it, then go back to it later, none of the settings have been saved, such as the eBay title, the description and the pictures...they are ALL still linked to the item info, which I DO NOT want & which are NOT linked in the original listing that a created the secondary listing from.

Hello Jeff,
Without an example item where you have made this change I have two guesses. The first is that you will need to use the drop-down box in the "Select Ad" section at the top of "eBay Info" to toggle back and forth between the ads. Another possibility is that you need to unlink the fields that you are having trouble with (description, title, images). To do this there is an icon that looks like two links of a chain next to each of these fields. From within the ad you will need to click the link for each field so that it is a broken link. Then you should be able to enter different information in these fields for each ad.
If none of the above helps, please let us know one of the inventory items where you made this change, and one of the specific changes that you made that did not save (so that we can take a look and try to duplicate the problem if necessary).

Specifically, the item titled "Clear Protective Case with Swivel Clip for Motorola W385" is one that I tried your suggestion upon. As you will see, in the eBay info area, the item does not have a linked title, description, images or policies. When I made the new 'ad' for that item titled 'For SFW Customers' all of the non-linked eBay info became linked. I unlinked it and placed the appropriate information where it needed to go and saved. Upon returning to the 'For SFW Customers' ad, the old, linked, info was again populated where it should not be.
I just tried again before sending this with the same results.
Thank you for your reply and the detailed information. I was able to see the problem and I have asked our engineers to take a look. We will let you know as soon as we hear back from them.
No updates on this issue yet unfortunately, though the engineering team has started to check into some of the possible causes. I was able to replicate this in my own account as well, it isn't isolated to just your item/s.

Is there ANY progress here?? This is quite frustrating. I need to have similar items listed in auction & fixed price format. PLEASE get this fixed ASAP.

Hello Jeff,
There has been some progress. The engineers have identified the cause of the problem and are currently working on a fix to the problem. Unfortunately, I do not yet have an eta available.
