Since I'm on a roll I might as well suggest a Calendar feature during checkout. A customer recommended it and it makes perfect sense. Something else that's should be a simple feature.
Customer buying from our website would like to be able to either:
See the ETA of their package (based on our setup of the item) or,
Select a date that they would like the item to arrive with respect to holidays, gifting and such.
Thank you for your suggestion. How would you recommend that we implement this? Would you want an area where you could specify how long it would take for the package to arrive at a destination for a specific shipping carrier and method? Would this be generic for every shipping location, or would you need to be able to specify how it would differ depending on the buyer's location in reference to your location?

Hi,
Well we only ship Priority Mail and Overnight Air because we sell perishables. However, I ship within 2 days because our cakes are baked to order and I don't ship Thur,Fri,Sat because they are perishable. With that in mind:
During shipping setup, set 2-3 days "delivery date" for USPS Priority. Therefore, when customer orders, ETA would default 2-3 days later. This could also work with other types of shipping methods if Sellers sets up through Shipping profile.
In consideration of perishable items for example in my case, to be able to block out Non-ship days would be a nice added feature too. For example a customer orders on Thursday, the SHIP OUT date would be Monday, with a ETA 2-3 days later.
Nothing fancy just something visual for the customer to understand during checkout.
