I simply can not figure out how to change the shipping on orders. For example, I want to offer free shipping to an order. I can not for the life of me figure out how to 'zero' out the shipping and then be able to update the order.

If I am combining shipping and only want to charge, say for example, one dollar for an extra item, again, can't figure it out.

Up until now I have been sending paypal invoices, but I'm working on an order with 14 different items, so having to retype all of that into paypal is a pain, and so I might just as well learn how to do it the right way with the new changes.

By the way, I can't do it working in Chrome, Mozilla or IE...............tried them all, thanks.

Hello,

Click the details button for this Order, then scroll down to the item in the order that you want to override the original shipping price for. Double click on the field showing the current shipping price (in the 'items in this order' view, not the 'total price calculation' field) and change it to whatever you want instead. When done click the 'save changes' button at the top of the 'items in this order' view.

I'm stumped as well. All the items in my store except the last 3 that I either just added or edited are telling me in the shopping cart checkout, "No shipping option is available for some of the items. Please check whether the items are shipped to your country, and contact the seller for a quote." I am getting this message when I tried to do a test shopping cart to see if the shipping shows up.

The items are set up the same way as all my others in the store. Why are these not working? Here are 3 of the item numbers.

I put in my business address and business phone number. My products are drop shipped from another location and zip code so that shouldn't be a factor. Business address: 720 39th Street, West Des Moines, IA 50265

Hello,

Thank you for the additional information. The problem is that there is no shipping option currently selected for these items. The shipping fields have been filled in correctly, but still need check marks in the boxes to the left to turn them on. Please edit the inventory items and go to the "Payment & Shipping" tab. Then edit the "Shipping" field and put check marks in the boxes to the left of the shipping options that you are offering. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

I tried that before. Then it demands I put in dimensions for the box. That is not something I have ever had to do with any other items in inventory.

Hello,

Unfortunately, if you are offering calculated shipping then the dimensions are required (as they are necessary in order to calculate the shipping cost). Please either switch to fixed shipping, or enter in the package weight and dimensions in the "Dimensions" section of the "Payment & Shipping" tab.

Hi Nathan,

Thank you for your response. I'm truly not trying to be difficult, but it still doesn't answer my question. All my other items and there are over 300 in my store, have calculated shipping and no dimensions and work perfect in the shopping cart and have for years. These 3 items that I posted earlier are the exceptions. Why won't they work like my other ones? Sorry, but I have no way of knowing what the dimensions will be on the boxes because I don't do the shipping.

Hello,

I picked a random item in your Store (Thermostat Wired Color Spy Cams) and it has fixed shipping, rather than calculated shipping. The dimensions are not required for fixed shipping.

The dimensions are required for calculated shipping as it is impossible to calculate the shipping cost without knowing the size of the package. There is big difference in the shipping costs for a package the size of a cellphone and a package the size of a widescreen TV, for example.

If you have an item in your Store with calculated shipping and no dimensions entered, please provide the name of the inventory item so that we can take a closer look.

OK Chris. I'll check more thoroughly for the fixed rates on inventory items. Some are apparently and some aren't, still don't know how that happened. But I'll work it out. Thank you for your responses.
