I have a question about updating invoices from an eBay sale. We have several situations when we need to update an invoice after someone purchases an item from us on eBay. This often occurs when we negotiate a discounted shipping price to international buyers, and also when we sell multiple items to the same buyer (by combining the purchases).
We don't have any issues updating the invoices in either eBay or Vendio. However, updating the invoice in one place doesn't update the invoice in the second place.
I raise this issue, because customers receive two e-mails from us when they buy an item -- first from eBay, and second from me (via Vendio). The "Vendio" e-mail includes a "checkout" link, which I assume is different from the checkout system that a customer uses if they follow the link in the e-mail sent by eBay.
So, if I update the invoice in eBay (in which case a NEW invoice is sent via eBay), but the customer instead still chooses to click on one of the checkout links from the earlier notifications from Vendio, they see incorrect information.
However, if I update the invoice in Vendio (and subsequently send the customer a new invoice via Vendio's order system), the information on eBay isn't correct.
If I update BOTH invoices separately, the customer will inevitably get the correct information, but Vendio doesn't seem to know if/when the payment is made via eBay's checkout (versus the Vendio checkout link), and I need to manually move the item from "Needing Checkout" to "Needing Shipment."
Is there a way to ensure that the invoices sent via eBay and Vendio are consistent?

Hello,
The best approach would probably be to turn of the WBN emails in your Vendio account, so that the buyers will only get the one message from eBay. This can be done by clicking "Preferences" (at the top right of most pages in your Vendio account) --> select "Items" from the drop-down box at the top of the page --> then uncheck the box for "Send Winning Bidder Emails" and save your changes.
You also may want to turn off the checkout reminder email in your Vendio account by going to "Preferences" (at the top right of most pages in your Vendio account) --> select "Orders" from the drop-down box at the top of the page --> then check the box for "Do not send email" next to "Checkout Reminder Email" and save your changes.
If you make a change to the order status from your eBay account, you may reflect this change in your Vendio account by going to "Orders" --> "Sold Items" --> put a check mark to the left of the order and click the "Update from eBay" button. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.
