I am new to Vendio and just posted my first ebay listing. I am not using Vendio checkout.

I found that there is a calculate shipping button in my listing that opens a Vendio calculate shipping window. Is there any way to not put that in my listing? The calculated rates do not agree with the ebay calculated rates.

Hello,

In order to not include the shipping calculator you would need to not offer calculated shipping. I checked the active listing in your account, but the Vendio and eBay shipping calculators gave me the same results. Please confirm the listing number where this is a problem, and also let us know in exactly what way the calculated rates appear different.

Regards,
Nathan

Thanks for the info. I was wrong about the different shipping calculations. I think that I had been accidentally comparing different zip codes. Since they show the same results, I guess i don't need to remove the button.

IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHO ANSWERS QUESTIONS?

HELLO
can you revise once on ebay? i find there is a difference between vendio's presentation of shipping and ebays. i use calculated, but it also lets me put ina flat rate priority mail as well as first class. i leaveit up to the buyer to decide which to use. the flat rate is for mulitple purchases.
the choice forces sellers into one way and has no flexibility.

Hello Gina,

Yes, you can revise your listings once at eBay, using the eBay 'revise your item' form and the eBay item number.

Do you have an example of a listing where the eBay shipping and payment details is showing both the calculated and fixed price shipping options mismatched together? We can then help you setup your own listings to match this configuration.

Chris

hello
let me be more precise.
can i revise on ebay. i will not pay to revise on vendio. i am paying enough people and ebay nickels and dimes us to death i can stay at auctiva for less money rather than pay $7 a month to revise on the vendio site when it is very easy to revise an auction on ebay.
what i am concerned about is the vendio's practice of formatting everything. I don't want to send up an auction and because i can't get it to say what i need it to, i end up locked in to what it says when i launch it.
after struggling with the form, i don't even think i will be able to use it for auctions.
i grew so angry i went to my ebay auctions and removed html because i NEVER put the gallery scroller over my text that is first, then photos, then the gallery and for some reason once i signed up with vendio this company took liberties i would have appreciated being asked first how i would like it.
it seems to me, maybe others view it differently, but it seems to me things on this site are so heavily formatted one doens't have to think to create an auction. if people that dumb are listing, do you even want them as customers?
i need more flexibility to create the look of the auction i want as different items warrant different approaches. i choose whre the gallery scroll goes and for god's sake, i have so many images but no, i cannot get that software to install.
even though a very, very nice man mr. perdue helped me, his explanation of how to add images to an existing ebay auction does not work, because i tried it. i did exactly as he showed, and the extra image i added isn't there.
boy, i thought auctiva overdid the formatting. i remember the old vendio what a wonderful product. enough formatting not excessive, a piece of cake adding images to my auctions, just plug in the item number to the images.
and if one is just trying to do an ebay auction, and trying to save but haven't filled out every little thing that may not even apply to your auction, it won't save, I get this big red x, it just needs to be more flexible. the idea is great, but people need to do more themselves or else we wind up with too much formatting that makes it difficult.
ex: i re-size my own images. if people are selling items and have not learned to re-size images, and actually expect their image hoster to do it for them, if they can't manage that, they need to re-think if they are in the right business. images sell. if people only do those pre-filled forms, don't say anything even if it's just to give the customers a sense of who you are, they are in the wrong business.
i hope very soon there will be a simple form for those who want and need more freedom to just do a quick ebay auction. on ebay, i can put an auction together so fast i'm in an out. here i spent more time struggling to figure what does this mean? and my train of thought is lost.
well thanks anyway.

Hello,

"i can't get it to say what i need it to"

What do you want the auction to say that you are unable to get it to say?

On the gallery it looks like you have since changed your preferences to place it at the bottom. Are you referencing an earlier issue or did you still need help with the placement of the gallery at the bottom of your listings the way your preferences are currently set?

You mention that the process of adding images to an existing listing didn't work, but still haven't said what that process is. We would love to help, but we need to know what your doing so we can help make sure it's being done correctly.
What process of adding images to an existing listing did you use that didn't work?

You mentioned also something about resizing images. Are you having some sort of trouble with resizing of images in Vendio, or just commenting that you know how to resize your images?

Also back to your original post and question:

Do you have an example of a listing where the eBay shipping and payment details is showing both the calculated and fixed price shipping options mismatched together?

We can then help you setup your own listings to match this configuration.

We want to help, but we need at least *some* details from you other than knowing that your having trouble, if we are to offer help in any way.

Regards,
Chris
