Hello Gary,

First log into your Google base account and check to see what the name of your feed is supposed to be. You should be able to see the name of your file here:
http://www.google.com/merchants/bulkuploads
For example, my own feed looks like this at Google:

In Vendio you have this stored as 'vendio-feed' currently for the filename, but this is likely missing the the '.txt' at the end, but verify the name of the file is correct as well before just adding the '.txt. to the end.

The next thing to check is the feed settings. Click the 'edit' link next to the name of your feed on google base, then verify all of the fields and options are setup exactly as it is shown here in my sample:

Chris

I was just wondering: has anyone uploaded to google base?
I perused google base forums Friday and noticed about 40 posts from one question from a seller who had items on google base for years, then suddenly started having problems.
Like he, I have uploaded items to google base through a seller platform/store. But for the life of me, I have followed the directions vendio provides for the ftp upload, these are not burdensome either, but none of mine have gone up.
Anyone has had luck?
If so, how?
thanks in advance,
gmt

Hello Gina,

Does the name of your feeds match both here in Vendio and at Google base? Check both the spelling and the capitalization to be sure they are identical.
Also, does the details of the feed that you have setup at Google look exactly like the example above in terms of the settings?

Note that as of December 1st Google will be switching over to the new system and will be taking all of these settings and setup processes out of your hands so it's all automatic.

Chris

Hello
Yes of course, they are identical. I copy and have started pasting them to a word document to be sure they are all the same, same same same, in fact, that is a no-brainer. One item out of place throws it all off.
And the designations of auto I have set that way too.
I put in my ftp password and distribute in vendio.
If Google is changing in December, I will wait. This has become an act of futility. I see many posts on Google's help forum from people who have had items up in google base, and merchant center for years suddenly are gone, or they can no longer get items up.
I still think my items ought to go up; I only selected seven. They have my url which is a vendio store.
I also noticed on one of Google's help pages a contradictory statement that one does not need an url that one can submit individual items without having a store.
Well, that flies in the face of Google's email to me that they are only accepting uploads directly from the seller platform such as vendio, ebay etc. You can't believe anything they say, in my opinion.

I think I have pegged what is causing google to reject many feeds. I constantly run into problems with my auctions changing though I leave them if they have ended and I do not relist.
For example, I previewed the ebay version and I see a double template. And the empty photo boxes.
I also tried to take text and I highlighted it and just wanted it flush left, but, it did not work. It would not flush left.
These kinds of quirks will show up in a picky google base review if all the i's are not dotted, the t's not crossed.
I have a very difficult time using one for meant to cover three items, all of which are aimed at a different marketplace. I just don't think that can be done.
