I have suspected that something wasn't quite right for a while, but just received confirmation. This problem only applies when a buyer chooses UPS shipping. I have been making an excess shipping refund for quite a while to UPS customers. There has been no problems with USPS customers.
A customer wrote me before going through checkout. In my auction ad, it showed the shipping as $10.34, but Vendio checkout was showing it as $14.XX. She wanted to know why the discrepancy. I couldn't explain it to her since I have no idea why the ad would show one price and Vendio checkout would show another. I ended up revising the invoice to show the $10.34. Indeed, after packing and weighing, $10.34 was the correct amount. Is there some explanation?

Here's the item number of the sale I'm referring to 290467033306 . Here is another item that there was a difference of over $4 between her invoiced price and the actual shipping 300457651293. Again, only UPS shipping is way over invoiced. No problems with the USPS calculator

Hello,
The difference in the shipping costs is based on whether or not you have a daily pickup with UPS. Your Vendio account is currently set to the "UPS Customer Type" of "Occasional". Please revise this field to "Daily Pickup" in order to change your type of UPS account (and then the shipping cost that is calculated by the Vendio shipping calculator). You may make this change within your Vendio account by going to "My Account" --> "Global Preferences" --> then scroll down to the "Calculated Shipping Options" section and change the "UPS Customer Type" drop-down box. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this.

Hello,
The selection that is entered into the "UPS Customer Type" tells Vendio what type of UPS customer you are, and therefore what rate you get from UPS. If UPS charged your $10.34 for your listing "290467033306", rather than the $14.02, then you would need to select the customer type of "Daily Pickup" in order to have the $10.34 rate automatically calculated.

Hello,
I don't know how PayPal knows what type of UPS account you have. However, if I had to guess it would be from your eBay preferences where you can specify your UPS account type under your eBay shipping preferences.
