Dances with Hooves was issued in the third herd the winter of 2004 by the Trail of Painted Ponies. This Pony is in excellent condition and is listed as "used" because it has been displayed, but it is in perfect condition. The artist for this pony is Ty Anderle. Numbered 1E/1597, it is one of the lower numbers to be offered in this hard to find Pony.
Dances with Hooves' story: "This Santa Fe folk artist is known for paintings and sculpture that
blend Native American and aboriginal styles with a contemporary art
sensibility. Ty has blanketed his Pony with intricate petroglyph and
pictograph designs that seem to float on a rock-like background. 'The
initial impact is of a textual nature, but upon closer viewing, if one
focuses on each design element as a vignette, as a picture all its own,
there is much more for the viewer to explore.'"
Comes complete with original box and packing. Box does show storage wear. One need not be a Trail of Painted Ponies collector to appreciate this stunning figurine.
