The 7001- has been engineered to ensure optimum power delivery into numerous impedances with low distortion. It comes outfitted with a variable 12dB-per-octave electronic crossover, allowing you to optimize subwoofer tuning based on location and accompanying loudspeaker components. It also includes the JBL Dynamic Bass Optimization circuit, which provides variable filtering with adjustable Q below 100Hz. This circuit allows tuning of any enclosure to any vehicle. Full-range preamp outputs are provided, facilitating multiple-amplifier hookups without the need for high-loss Y-adapters or signal splitters.
The 7001- also features Direct-Connect, which allows use of up to 4-gauge power and ground cable to ensure that enough juice is being delivered. Direct-Connect speaker terminals eliminate the need for additional adapters or special fittings. Common-dimension amplifier footprints are used on all of the GTO models, providing two common dimensions for ultraclean multiple-amplifier model installations.
