Really rare Japanese Satsuma figural box in form of woman
probably dates from mid to late 19th century.
Very delicate but artistic work
There are 8 Kanji marks on the base. I cannot say
who the artist is but it may be Gyokusan
Underneath the base which contains the signature the woman's feet are
modeled into the pottery.
PLEASE NOTE - the piece is in very good condition except for an age
crack noticeable inside the bottom piece. I have factored this into the price.
Insurance is required.
