1971 Eisenhower Dollar
Condition: New
Price: $5.95

In 1971 the US Mint produced the Eisenhower dollar honoring both President Dwight D. Eisenhower and the first landing of the first man on the moon. These coins were released into circulation and they were not included in the yearly uncirculated mint set. As a result of this they can be hard to come by in uncirculated condition from a bank and depending on how many collectors went to their bank to get them and store these coins away is the only unkown number and why I perceive the cost of these coins to be exaggerated somewhat.
Collector's coins were struck in 40% silver composition and the circulation issue in copper-nickel.
This coin was minted in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was struck in copper-nickel which is also known as a clad coinage.
