1982P Kennedy half dollar came only from dealers who made up mint sets for their customers as the US Mint did not make any for this year for the general public. The US Mint did however offer a uncirculated mint set that could be purchased at the souvineer shops at the Denver and Philadelphia mints. Those sets command a very high premium as their prices reach prices up to a $100.00 for just the Denver, or the Philadelphia minted coin sets. I try to find the sets made by the dealers as they seem to have a good quality coins in them. Those sets when I'm able to get them have similar wrappers housing the coins they will come in that orginal wrapper from the dealers, or a paper, vinyl, or mylar, or a 100% archival quality plastic coin edge holder.
