Neat, really old, antique oil painting on canvas featuring a female portrait. The female is stern with a serious look, white bonnet, white lace on shoulders over her black cloak. Sitting beside red velvet curtain with tie back. I have the male version and his portrait features red curtain on his right side. Subject matter is mid 1800s in my opinion. Lots of damage beginning with the canvas that has detached from the wood frame on 3 sides. There are many marks, chippy paint 3 holes as shown in photos. She needs some work or simple refastening to the frame. There is no signature. Measures 24.5" wide and 26.75" tall.  As shown.
