Lovely antique print, most likely an engraving, signed by Alfred Fredericks 1889 bottom left hand corner. Title is Courtship of Miles Standish. The original was a watercolor from 1889. The artwork was inspired by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's narrative poem of the same name. The print has water damage to the matting bottom right hand section. The print has some age discoloration but it  may be the inside of the glass, unsure. The oak frame has a blotch of finish missing in the bottom center section, a bit peeled so something probably spilled on it. The frame measures 21" by 24" tall. The print itself is 13" by 16".  Great antique oak frame and antique engraving.
