Wonderful antique print featuring a British European farm scene including female with basket, walking stick and plethora of white ducks walking ahead of her on the path. The background features thatched roof cottages, split rail fence and other structures cottages and barns.  Top left corner is marked Printed in England, bottom left hand corner states Painted by J. Paulman and upper right hand corner states Copyright 1909 by Louis Wolff & Co London with their street address. The print may be hand colored or mechanically colorized.  The frame is gold tone wood with some carvings on the exterior edge. The frame measures 22.5" tall by 28.5" wide and the print is 13" by 19" length. Good condition overall with frame showing some white marks, missing trim work and gold tone variations. The print is in good condition, protected under glass with slight discoloration from age. Gorgeous antique print perfect for a country home or English decor.

Paulman (Joseph Paulman) was a skilled, yet somewhat mysterious, British Victorian-era landscape painter (active late 19th century) known for nostalgic, earthy scenes of the idyllic British countryside, rivers, farmers, and rural life, often featuring shimmering water and figures in traditional dress, resisting industrialization. He used bold, colourful palettes and techniques to capture pastoral charm, with works frequently appearing at auction today.
