Wonderful vintage oil painting on artist board in wood frame. Features a European village scene, perhaps Germany. There is writing on the side of the building but difficult to make out, as the signature. Pretty castle like buildings, cathedrals with spires, riverway with bridge and walking path. The foreground offers a small boat with greenery and a green plantings along with some rocks. The frame is accented in gold and washed with off white color. The frame measures 30.75" length by 23" tall. The canvas is 27" wide by 19.5" tall. The painting shows crazing in the sky area, no rips or tears.  The frame has some damage loss of finish bot the bottom right hand corner and some white spots showing through. The finish is flaking as well. Dated 1948, so it's in good condition for it's age.
