Gorgeous antique heavy thick glass inkwell with 800 sterling silver marked lid and top casement. The monogram on top lead reads Rand A combined with tiny scrollwork.  Each corner has 4 beveled indentations creating an elegant design along with beveled 4 sided trim at top. Comes with original glass insert as well. The inkwell measures 3" by 3" by 4" tall. Mark is illegible to me but almost looks like a manger scene to the left of the 800 mark.  Good condition overall, with light scratches on the very bottom, stained ink on the rim of the flip top lid and staining inside the glass chamber area as well. I purchased this piece in Sorrento Italy on a sourcing trip. Could be British made.
