Antique Grand Tour French footed catch all trinket bowl, formerly pocket watch holder. Gorgeous paw or claw feet currently padded on their undersides. The feet lead to a shell scroll pattern and wide bronze inscribed trim. The insert is a porcelain bowl with enameled gold accents featuring set of sailboats that is most likely a transfer pattern.  Deep hues or burnt umber, yellow, cobalt and gold. The top section of the holder has an empty mirror or photo area casement that is adorned with raised floral pattern, scroll work and top section has a hook for hanging of the pocket watch.  We did not polish this but it would come up so beautifully!  No chips, cracks or paint pattern loss.  Underside and back are very clean as well. 4.25" length by 3" deep and 4" tall. Quite a gem!
