Compact is 3.25" square and came with original black box with an original pencil signed mark on the lid indicating Ethel gave me this. How sweet is that!?  Swirl and dot gold decorated top on brushed silver background while it is trimmed in a shiny silver material. Inside is very clean gold metal and Volupte USA mark.  Mirror has a few tiny black specks in the center from age. This even houses the original paper insert under the powder puff to reorder more puffs if needed. Fabulous find@
