SILKSCREEN SERIGRAPH PRINT: Bert Stern's The Last Sitting ~ Marilyn Monroe ~ Bert's best known work is The Last Sitting, a collection of 2,500 photographs taken of Marilyn Monroe six weeks before her death for Vogue. Only a handful of those photographs taken by Bert Stern became the now famous Black Light Pop Art Silkscreen Serigraphs. Bert used experimental techniques to create the serigraphs. The psychedelic Day Glo Ink colors are amazing under a black light. As seen here, even the flash of a good camera can show just how vibrant the colors become.

Bertram Stern was born in Brooklyn New York, USA on October 3, 1929. Bert is an American fashion celebrity portrait photographer. He has photographed Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Drew Barrymore & many more including Lindsay Lohan recreating Marilyn Monroe's The Last Sitting. In addition to his movie star photography, Bert worked for advertising & travel publications. Bert's best known work is Marilyn Monroe's The Last Sitting, a collection of 2,500 photographs taken of Marilyn Monroe over a three day period, six weeks before her death for Vogue on June 21st, 1962 at the Hollywood Bel Air Hotel in southern California.
