Fans loudly cheered the childlike exuberance of Waltrips victory celebration. As he was being interviewed by CBS pit reporter Mike Joy, Waltrip shouted I won the Daytona 500! I won the Daytona 500! Shortly after, an exuberant Waltrip performed an Icky Shuffle dance in victory lane.
