This item is a traditional style "Vintage Oriental Blue And White Bowl" made during the early part of the twentieth century, although there are no manufacturer marks on the product. The bowl appears to be a good reproduction with the white ceramic base material highly glazed and intensely white on the outside. The inside rim and a portion of the base is also glazed but not the whole interior- the unglazed interior is off color due to soil or sand stains as the bowl was probably used as a planter. The cobalt blue color of the applique is intense in the darker areas yet shades to a lighter pastel in other areas of the design. This item measures four inches high by five inches in diameter, and weighs approximately 1-1/4 pounds. The 'Blue And White Bowl' is in perfect condition with no chips or other damage.
