Antique Plain Simple Gold Circle Pin
This item is a very old 'Antique Gold Plain Simple Circle Pin' made in Europe during World War One, and brought to the U.S.A. during the 1920's according to the previous owner. It is designed as a simple circle with a geometric engraved pattern as the product motif. The weight of this brooch pin is approximately 1 gram of metal, and is a solid gold plate on top of a gold-filled laminate. The hinge and clasp are hand soldered; this type of older style mechanism reveals provenance and age. The brooch pin is 1/2 inch in diameter and the circular design is 3/16 inch thick as you look at it face up; the product is very shiny and bright and has a classic look. This 'Circle Pin' came from an estate.
