Antique Plain Simple Gold Circle Pin

This item is a very old “Antique Gold Plain Simple Circle Pin” made in Europe during World War One, and brought to the U.S.A. during the 1920's according to the previous owner. It is designed as a simple circle with a geometric engraved pattern as the product motif. The weight of this brooch pin is approximately 1 gram of metal, and is a solid gold plate on top of a gold-filled laminate. The hinge and clasp are hand soldered; this type of older style mechanism represents provenance and age. The brooch pin is 1/2" in diameter by 3/16" thick; the product is very shiny and bright and has a classic look. This 'Circle Pin' came from an estate as the original fabrication and has not been polished or detailed in any way; it was sterilized with jeweler's solution and sealed in a plastic bag; the precious metal will retain its' brilliance for a long time.
