Here is an older Westmoreland Glass item, a #500 Old Quilt 6 oz. Cruet with Stopper, (OQ-7) in pure white Milk Glass. This piece dates most probably from the 1940’s, as the original examples pictured in older catalogs from the early 1900’s until the 1950’s show the cruet with this much longer 3-¾” stopper. In the 1950’s, the stopper was remolded to the much shorter, more familiar version shown in later catalogs and books. The bottom of the cruet gives me the impression it may have been blow molded, as it is not the perfectly flat surface that most molded items seem to possess. There are a couple of millimeter sized rough spots on the very bottom point of the stopper, but other than that, it is in mint condition. It would make a lovely addition to your glass collection. I sell only original Westmoreland Glass pieces produced between 1888 and 1984 at the factory in Grapeville, PA.
