Jenny Newland Biography:
Viewers often remark upon the highly photographic effect Jenny Newland achieves in the medium of acrylic paint. Combining airbrushing with traditional brush techniques, she brings a startlingly lifelike quality to the animals she paints. The secret to conveying such realism, the artist explains, lies in expressing the mood and personality of each subject through its eyes. Newland was educated at Northern Arizona University and Glendale Community College. She has exhibited her work at numerous fine arts fairs and festivals, receiving valuable feedback from the public and collecting many awards. Since 1992 her works have been published on a series of posters and prints, meeting with great success. Newland has also donated work to non-profit organizations such as the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Ducks Unlimited.
