C. J. Conner Biography:
C.J. Conner is a lady who leads a treasured life in the northwoods of Wisconsin. Surrounded by wildlife and the charms and plagues of nature, C.J. paints as her heart dictates. At times she creates nostalgic images of times gone by, or perhaps surrealistic scenes expressing her total involvement with the natural setting in which she lives. "I've had close encounters with bear, deer, wolverine, and a porcupine who sat on my lap!" recounts the artist. The popularity of her realistic acrylics has involved her in several commercial projects, including phone book covers and pet food packaging. Collectors have enjoyed seeing her work in magazines and limited edition prints, but not many find their way to her studio, located on 250 acres of idyllic forest land.
