"There have been surprisingly few books on lustreware and most of those that have appeared have suffered from a lack of coloured illustrations, almost an essential for a proper coverage of and understanding of the subject. With this new book the situation is very different. Over half of the 300+ illustrations are in colour and many of the pieces illustrated, some extremely rare, have never been seen in print before. Among these are examples from the vast but little know Gutman collection in the United States, to which country large quantities of lustreware were exported in the nineteenth century."

I was an avid English pottery collector (and seller), having over 1000 pieces of the maritime pink lustre Sunderland pottery in my collection. I have divested myself of the collection, and I am selling all the reference books I had.
