"Yellow-glazed earthenware, related to creamware and pearlware and having an overall yellow glaze, forms a distinctive category in English ceramics. Towards the end of the 18th century, when this ware was first being produced, the many technical advances in the potteries resulted in the large scale mechanical production of ceramics for a new and less sophisticated market. Yellow glazed ware although produced in quite small quantities, was nevertheless made by a sizeable and representative group of manufacturers in England and Wales, including Wedgwood."

I was an avid English pottery collector (and seller), having over 1000 pieces of the maritime pink lustre Sunderland pottery in my collection. I have divested myself of the collection, and I am selling all the reference books I had.
