 • DISCUSSION:  This softcover book measures 8.25" by 11.5" and has 136 pages, including 18 full colour plates and 120 black and white halftone plates.
Originally published in 1951 this fully revised and enlarged edition is the standard work on the pots and potteries of the Tyne and Wear districts of Sunderland in Northern England. This area is famous for its' highly collectible pink lustre ware with transfer prints of the Wear Bridge, however there were in fact many potteries in this area producing a wide range of wares including: Mosaic ware, creamware, slipware, marbled ware, gaudy Welsh, yellow glazed earthenware, silver lustre, copper lustre, blue transfer printed ware, and sponged ware etc.

I was an avid English pottery collector (and seller), having over 1000 pieces of the maritime pink lustre Sunderland pottery in my collection.  I have divested myself of the collection, and I am selling all the reference books I had.
  
 • CONDITION:  In fair to .  good condition.  It has some wear on the binding.  Please see pictures.
