"This famous biography covers the crucial years in Jackson's life, beginning with the political campaign of 1824 and continuing until his death," says the pre-title page blurb in this book. It was put out in 1937 by Grosset & Dunlap as part of their Universal Library series. It was printed on permanent book paper from the type of the first edition. The brightly bound book has a pink spine and back cover and an off-white front cover with black lettering and a design of orange, black, and pink circles and squares. The Universal Library logo is in one of the orange circles. Cloth bound. Paper is thin (though not india-paper thin) and off-white in color. Near fine condition. Clean, tight and square with minimal edge wear to corners only. The front flyleaf has a slight anomaly in the paper. There is a tiny tear in the front cover gutter and 2 or 3 very small scratches on the covers. There is a very pretty bookplate on the front endpaper. No dust jacket.
