Rose Wilder Lane co-wrote (some even say ghost-wrote) her mother, Laura Ingalls Wilder's books. Here, published under her own name, is a novel based on the lives of her grandparents, Laura's parents, Charles and Caroline Ingalls. She has named the characters in her book David and Molly (Caroline in some versions) but they are clearly based on her grandparents. Here you will learn the story of their life as young newlyweds in the Dakota territory in the1850s. Like all of the Little House books, this is a sweet and sentimental story.
