Automatic Multiplier 1950s toy teaches multiplication
Price: $2.99

This cool gadget is just a piece of cardboard with 2x 3x 4x listed down the left side and a window next to the list with a knob to turn that changes the amount multiplied by. There is a window that shows the answer. That window can be either open or closed. That way, kids can practice with the window open until they know the facts, and then close it to test themselves. There's another window that shows "fun fraction facts" such as 9/10=.90=90%. That window can also be open or closed and the "fun fact" changes when you turn the knob. It's kind of hard to describe how this thing works without a physical demonstration, so I hope you're getting what I'm trying to describe. It's a great math manipulative for homeschool, classroom, or for a toy for that kid who loves to learn. Picture 1 shows the toy with the box above it, picture 2 shows the toy by itself.
This was obviously manufactured in the 1950s, but it isn't dated. It is used. The box is well worn and has some tears. Someone has filled in the word "Multiplier" and the girl's hair with pencil on the actual toy. Also, there is some foxing (brown spots due to age) on the toy and the box. Toy is still in good working order.
